Notes:
This month we ordered a solar generator from 4Patriots that came with 3 months of food, an electric fire starter and a portable stove that can be used with leaves and twigs. We are going to clean out a spot in our basement for emergency supplies anticipating our crazy world spinning out of control. Randy and Judy Covey and Cindi and Craig are doing the same. Cindi texted me two days before my BD about coming down to Ames for my BD and we were thrilled. We had a really nice time. They made us a shrimp linguine dinner and we took them to Whistle Stop in Boone for lunch and shopped for two chairs at Redekers, which they bought. We also went to the consignment shop in Gilbert and the antique store in Story City. Brandon and Philly and their family came the previous weekend to celebrate Madeleine's BD, which was a lot of fun. I took Caleb and Thomas for the day to Ledges and later Caleb around the neighborhood on my bike. We had mac and cheese, rib eye steak and 1919 Rootbeer in frosted mugs. I finished the 2022 Edition of the Wall Family Cookbook, 152 pages, and a lot of work. We had our company party at the Ronnenberg Restaurant in Amana (27 people) and it was a hit. MS had COVID the end of the month and I missed a week of therapy so worked on the Stepfamiliy paper at home while helping MS recover.
