About Me
Former attorney (early-retired).
Why I Joined
To track my net worth and to have a tool to compare with, and learn from, others who want to grow wealth.
Best Financial Decision
Two best decisions: (1) learning to live below my means, and knowing that I save while others fritter away their money on stuff that doesn't matter; (2) reading "Your Wealth-Building Years" by Adriane Berg, right as I was starting my career. I followed her advice and she taught me the value of time in growing wealth (i.e. Rule of 72).
Worst Financial Decision
Investing in Enron and a couple of small-company investments I knew little about.
Current Investing Strategy
Save, live below my means, use index funds
How do you manage your finances?
I save a large portion of my income and invest it regularly in a series of low-cost index funds, using a single well-known investment adviser web platform.
What tools do you use?
Personal Capital, and this site (since Net Worth IQ has become so clunky, unsupported and soooo 2005....)
I need financial help with...
Bond advice.

Favorite Books
"The Millionaire in You" by Michael LeBoeuf. Out of print, but it's a great financial and life tool. (Buy it used on Amazon.com.) It's simple and straightforward, and has been instrumental in helping me to grow my net worth. And "Your Wealth-Building Years" by Adriane Berg, as mentioned above.
Favorite Movies
The King's Speech; Finding Neverland; Howard's End; Amelie.
