About Me |
Late 30s mom with 2 kids. I blog at www.hereverycentcounts.com about personal finance and mental health.
I work in tech on the business side, all my net worth growth has been due to saving from full time income and investment earnings on that money.
I want to FAT Coast Fire by 45 and have one more kid. This account tracks my personal net worth only. I track family net worth (which includes my husband's smaller savings) at https://www.networthshare.com/user/dnacouple |
Why I Joined |
NetworthIQ has been broken for years, so this seems like a good alternative. Originally I joined networthIQ to challenge myself to save money. |
Best Financial Decision |
Starting a blog to keep track of my savings and encourage me to invest. Check it out at www.hereverycentcounts.com |
Worst Financial Decision |
Amazon. Prime. |
Current Investing Strategy |
Keep major expenses low (i.e. drive used car I paid for in cash, live in suburbs vs city, et al) and try not to spend too much on other things. Also, try to make good money so when I do spend on random things I can still save a significant amount of income each month. |
How do you manage your finances? |
I don't really, I just try to put money into my retirement and taxable investment accounts each month. I'm probably doing a horrible job but at least I'm saving something. |
What tools do you use? |
I use Mint/YNAB and pay my credit cards off each month. |
I need financial help with... |
Current: How to manage my house so it doesn't use up all my money Previous: Figuring out how to go from $400k to $5M... if that's possible. |
