Notes:
The stock market continues to hit all time new highs. Dividends received during May of 2013: 16May2013 AAPL $12.20 31May2013 MWTIX $8.77 May 2013 totals: $20.97 2013 totals: $118.01 My 401(k) contributions are currently at 5% -- plus a 4% match -- and I'm also contributing $5,500 a year to the Roth IRA in 2013. The reason I lowered my 401(k) contributions to the absolute lowest level while still receiving the match was due to a notification that the company who controls our investments started charging a 0.45% fee on all account balances up to $100,000. It may only be a few hundred dollars a year but that money compounded over 40 years would add up to some serious cash. Instead, I've boosted my automatic savings plan in my cash account to beef up my emergency fund. I'm buying stocks when I have some extra free capital, too, and when I absolutely can't pass up an opportunity, like picking up shares of Apple at $392, I'll buy. If I haven't already, I'm now fairly confident I'm still on track to reach my goal of obtaining a net worth of $150,000 by the age of 30. I'll be 31 in February of 2014 and I believe I can make this goal. Prediction of net worth change: + $850
