Pay off $20 K loan taken out against my 401(k) for house purchase. - **$5,086 LEFT - WILL BE PIF ON FEB 23, 2009 ** 3.) Pay off last of credit card debt. - ** DID IT!! JULY 2008 (THERE IS A SMALL BALANCE NOW DUE TO HOLIDAY SPENDING, BUT THIS WILL BE PAID OFF THIS WEEK.) ** 4.) Gain steady second income in the form of a part time job. - ** DID IT!! WORKED OT AT CURRENT JOB FOR LATTER PORTION OF 2008 ** 5.) Rent out rooms for extra income. - ** DID IT!! 2 ROOMIES @ $600 EA ** 6.) Open a brokerage account with Vanguard or Fidelity and start investing in equities! - ** THIS GOAL WILL BE ON HOLD AS I GO THROUGH DAVE RAMSEY'S BABY STEPS AND PAY OFF MY DEBT BEFORE I INVEST OUTSIDE OF MY RETIREMENT ACCOUNT. ** ALL IN ALL, I AM HAPPY WITH MY PROGRESS.
