| MS and I made two trips to DM this month and both times to Josephs (to take Aunt Ruth's ring in to get cleaned and to pick it up for Sean to give to Emilie - MS cried as did the two ladies at the customer service window. We also dropped off the Elim wall clock and a wall clock from my Ames office at Windsor Clocks and another trip we dropped off Chuck's watch and a railroad watch needing to be cleaned. I also took my Martin in to get the electrical parts working again - I played for a service at church and it did not work. I also brought in the Gibson to figure out why the strings won't stay in tune and to fix the treble lever that is shorting out. Mary Sue and I made reservations for Joplin, MO for our trip to Galveston in May. We bought a new couch and lamp at Redekers (after shopping earlier at Homemakers and getting NO help) with Lee's help because we confirmed we are renting a new office in Cedar Rapids and they will need our couch. Kay Foster, our new Social Work Masters therapist in Ames started. We hosted our bible Study for the Super Bowl and with Cincinnati playing LA we had Cincinnati Chile with sour dough garlic bread. Jeff and Linda sent surprise BD pics of them going to NYC. Marty and Amanda confirmed their wedding date and venue and Philly and Brandon made flight reservations for us and them. Emilie still doesn't know her plans but she was at least able to get accepted as being in the MPLS pool for administrators in the MPLS school system and she passed the second round by the end of the month. |
