| The DOW was up a 5.6% for the month so that helped our retirement and investments. I raised the value of our office condo as we've improved it and real estate is going up nationwide. We paid $10,000 for Emilie and Sean's wedding and $10,000 to Kiley and Kelsey for a college fund set up for them at Edward Jones and will put $50 a month in there as for the other grandchildren. We spent the night over the July 4th weekend and went to an I-Cubs game and the Farmer's Market and bought a roll or silver dollars. Later in the month I bought 3 more rolls and we are putting away cash, too - a little world crisis insurance. MS and I worked a lot on the office - Shannon Haus started and we worked on his office and painted the entryway, including removing and painting the popcorn ceiling. We had the door sign updated, too. Took Brandon out for pizza the week before his 40th BD. They had a neighborhood party the following week. Sent my guitar to Amanda - cost $233 one way! Overnight at Embassy Suites by MPLS Airport. Ate withe Emilie and Tiffany. Picked up Camry as Emilie had borrowed it cuz her engine went out. Went to IKEA. Mall of America Twin City Grill for MS BD. I writing a family cookbook so have contacted a lot of family members about. MS went to Emilie's in Bloomington to help her clean her house and pack and sort to move things to Grand Rapids. |
