Wow, what a great month! Large contributors include: bonus from my employer, my wife's former employer's final (prorated) annual retirement contribution, a very expeditious federal income tax return, and another inexplicable bump from Zillow. We're still expecting another ~$2k in medical bills, but we'll see whenever they arrive. I'm hoping we can manage a budget for the next 11 months without any windfalls. Lastly - and worth noting - we killed off the last of my wife's student loans! Just have the mortgage in our way now... aside from our habitual use of our credit card, but we justify this by not paying interest. We would probably spend less if we cut the card and sucked it up, but there's something strangely comforting about spending someone else's money and paying them back 30-45 days later. |
