Notes:
Had a $3k car repair (very frustrating), and we definitely considered ditching it and replacing, but now's not the right time. I also finished my flight lessons and passed my check ride! I've since taken the wife up once and took the whole family up this past weekend, so that's still costing us more than I'd like, but the memories are priceless! I'll aim to keep it under $1k monthly (but still remain current - and slowly work towards my instrument rating) whereas I might've been spending $3-4k during my training, which is not sustainable on our income.
