| Very rough start to the new year. Tough discussions with family over the holidays to clear the air, unpleasant but necessary yet still soured the holidays for me. Some more medical issues, mainly dental that were out of plan, plus animal vet treatments post new year so being maxed out with planned holiday spending cut into savings a bit. Came back to another pay freeze that combined with the loss of the break we were getting on SS equated, as for many folks, to an effective two percent salary decrease. Now I get to look forward to doing my taxes and filling out new FAFSA forms. Sometimes it's hard to count your blessings when the manure is cascading upon you. |
