Notes:
My new 401k matching is finally kicking in. I've adjusted my contribution to 6%, which is a little less than what it was, but I'm getting the matching boost so it works out. The value of my car is quickly declining, probably because it's a Saturn, the company with a doubtful future. Hopefully they'll pull through but I'm not counting on it. And of course, the retirement fund is still taking hits, although I'm getting more shares for my money. I'm still not worried about it, unlike most of everybody else. I'm probably going to jump in the stock market here pretty soon, although I'm sure most people would advise against that. But hey it's hovering at 12-year lows so I may jump in there with a few grand and see what I can do with it. Lastly, I've opened up a new business account that will be used specifically for my freelance jobs. I'm suspending my "save up for a house" method until this account reaches $10,000.
