Notes:
Is it just me? Or does the stock market always like to tank on the last day of the month just to be spiteful? Still heading in the right direction for the moment, although I notice expenses are creeping up here and there. I can't optimize my budget any more than I already have, so hopefully I don't have to get creative. For those who have been following my monthly adventures, you know I'll be in the market for a new ride soon. However, one of the other big expenses I'm looking at this year is a renovation to my home office. I've been using the same desk/hutch setup for over 20 years, and it's really getting cramped. The plan is to get a new desk/hutch, new computer, a pair of 4K monitors, and a mini hi-fi system for better sound. I'm looking at around $10K for a complete overhaul, although I can do this in phases and not have to spend it all at once. (The computer I want won't even be out for at least another 12-18 months so I have time!) I've sold a bunch of things on eBay to get the home office fund started, but between that and the new car, I'm going to have to find more side work if I plan on getting these wish list items off the ground this year.
