Notes:
Freelance pay coming in, check. Stock market surge, check. House appreciation, check. I'd like to say $500K net worth is the ultimate next goal, but with new computer equipment and a car on the horizon, I'll refrain from declaring such ambitions just yet. Even without those bearings it would take at least 3 more years to get there, provided my house and retirement funds don't take a dive as the ever-negative pundits like to remind us. I will be taking an interim contract job playing piano at a traditional church service every Sunday for at least 2 months, or until they find someone else. This should provide a 15-20% boost in income during that time frame. The roommate also continues to provide funding for my parents while we decide living arrangements for them. I'm going to try holding off on bigger freelance jobs until I can get my website renovated and relaunched (est. Jan 2017). It's sort of embarrassing using an 11-year-old website to market yourself, so that will take priority as the year dwindles down.
