Whelp, that Black Friday fared better than I ever expected it would. Personal purchases were kept under $100. On the business side, however, almost $700 was spent on long-needed computer accessories such as SSDs and laptop batteries, among other things. Since there was no big computer purchase this year, I was able to catch up on all mid-cycle upgrades. Oh yes, and I finally scored that subwoofer to kick up the quality of home office music a bit. No more big purchases for the year!
Otherwise, everything else is heading in a healthy direction. I expect a boost to retirement funds due to year-end Capital Gains and Interest. Still have the increased revenue due to continuing music gigs on the side. All other freelance gigs have pretty much wrapped for the year while I finish working on personal projects.
I've decided to hold on to the Gold 80 PPO medical plan for one more year. I have one more likely surgery to perform in the next 6 months so the calculations say this plan will be the most effective. After that I'll have to see if there's something cheaper I can go with (provided the ACA isn't torn to shreds by then).
