Notes:
Overall it was a satisfactory year for net worth, gaining just under 15%. Some year-end bonuses, annual investment dividends, and a deluge of side work pushed up assets to healthy levels, although still a touch short of my personal year-end goal. It'll probably take another 2-3 months to reach that. Health insurance is going up about 20% for the same plan. While still a lot, it's not as bad as the other horror stories I've heard. There's one more small issue to take care of that likely requires minor surgery, so I'll hold on to Gold 80 PPO for one more year. All premiums are now being deducted from the business account, which seems more fitting since I get to write that off as a Schedule C expense. I'm ready to have a roommate back in the house to continue partially supporting my folks, and to raise funds for our family road trip this year, provided all are in good health. There are a few other excursions on the docket, such as Hawaii and perhaps a fishing trip. With a likely permanent contract gig and roommate income on the horizon, 2017 looks to be an improved healthy year for net worth, as long as house/stock values hold. (Oh please hold... pretty please...)
