Career: I've still not gotten back the momentum I had back in September and am just trying to get things done before our product launch in December. But acknowledging that I was burnt out after September definitely helped set the right mood to start making progress again.
Life: We had a stay-cation for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. There's a lot of issues which never get addressed if we're on the move too much so I really enjoyed getting to decompress over the long weekend.
Financial: We finally paid federal taxes for 2021 including interest and penalties so we're settled up with the IRS for now. I tried looking at tax loss harvesting but I lost steam after calculating my capital gains for the year and never got around to doing it for my partner. To be fair, this year's financials are complicated because we sold investements to buy a house.
Health & wellness: I am 20 days into my 30-day strength training program. Our cooking and eating habits are so much more streamlined than they were a year ago and I'm so happy about this. We're still having lots of frozen dinners but we're definitely eating much healthier than last December. I'm also loving that my partner goes to the gym regularly, he goes to the sauna room and showers after his workout and comes back relaxed and happy. |
