|Goal for year end 2015 is $880,000. We need an increase of $11794 per month in order for this to happen. There is no bonus this year, so this will be quite difficult.
After January we need an increase of $12567 per month to meet our goal.
After February we need an increase of 9602 monthly. Lofty, but possible.
End of March, new goal....maintain balance. Husband was laid off and we hope to find a job that allows at least for subsistence living for a while.
End of April - cutting costs hardcore, trying to stockpile before the income cuts off.
End of May - Successful in cutting costs led to a better cash increase. Stock market was only so-so. Will be receiving small inheritance which will help the net worth number tremendously give the circumstances.
End of June-new job (hooray!) means relocating (boo!) to a lower cost of living area (yay!) with a lower paying job (boo!). End of year goal is back on. Will be losing one month of income so July will show a pretty hard hit. Avg. gain needed monthly to make goal is now $7379. If the stock market decides to help us out at all, we should be able to do that, no problem.
End of July - relocated. Had to purchase second car. Sold rental and primary home is closing in August. Currently renting. Big credit card bills due in August for repairs to homes and moving expenses, so I should see the jump from this month even out a bit then. New avg gain per month to make goal $6267
End of August - worst stock market month in 3 years did nothing to help, but selling our wonderful home for a very good price definitely did. I'm upping the year end goal to $900k. It will be quite a stretch and require help from the market, but what's a goal if you know you don't even really have to try? We need an average increase of $5732.75 to make it. On the new, much lower salary, this will prove to be quite an accomplishment if we make it.|
