| July was an interesting month. My wife and I are continuing to max out our 401K's. I paid $2000 towards my student loan. I am hoping to have that knocked out in the next few months. We are also putting a second bathroom in our house (bringing it from a 4 bedroom 1 bath to a 4 bedroom 2 bath). Construction started and I made a $9000 payment to the contractor. I took the $9K out of a combination of our cash savings and a portion of my paycheck. I also added $9K to the value of our house. I figure that we will at least get back a 1:1 return on our bathroom investment. |
