| Big gains this month at 3.10%. Today is actually 8/23 and I'm just entering July month end numbers, which were actually 8/1 account balances. So, spoiler alert, but the market in August has been up and down, so we currently stand slightly below July figures. On the plus side, DH's new job offers a 403B plan and he's putting in a whopping 40% of his pay. This gets him to maxing out over a year (yes, the salary is not that high...), but since he only started contributing in July, we'll get to 50% of the max for the year. Still, this is great to have another tax advantaged option. And his employer contributes a very generous 11% of his salary! Fingers crossed for the future, it's looking so good! Also, $815K was our goal for the year. I guess we'll try for $850K? IDK, just throwing numbers out there... |
