The first quarter is over and the market is en fuego, already up by 10%.
The NAR settled with the Government this month and entered into, what could be, a big change in the way real estate transactions get handled and cost. Change is long overdue in that area, but I'm not sure if the changes will have the effect of helping, especially younger people or first-time home buyers, but I'm hopeful those studying the issue thought the issues through. I just cannot fathom how awful the industry is in general and I am still resentful of how manipulated the "bidding" process was when I was buying our current home. There's definitely some good real estate professionals out there, but for every one of them, there seem to be 10 who are corrupt and greedy.
