On January 22, 2024 I tore my Achilles and needed to have a couple of Dr. Appointments that led to my staying home from our trip to Florida, while MS went (at my insistence) to meet Marty, Amanda and Madison along with Cindi and Craig, who also came down. And they hung with Chip and Diane. I sat at home the whole month of February recovering. Brandon and Melany came over to train our staff on AI and therapy notes and Brandon to do supervision with the Ames staff. He switched the Ames therapists from doing the CPT to having the admin staff. Emilie lost her baby and she and Sean were devastated. She also was told her job would be discontinued next year and they might have an admin position for her or not. She's leaning toward NOT doing admin for that school district because of all the driving and is looking into being a realtor and student teaching in Grand Rapids. I downloaded an app MyNetDiary for my iPhone on January 28 to help lose weight, which I started in December with the flu at 214. At the end of February I weighted 199.2, so watching my calories is helping. I finished taxes this month and meet with Brook, our CPA next month. Alyas had his first date. I worked on Diversification and real estate papers for my working with clients about money, especially real estate as Emilie and Sean are thinking of owning apartments in Grand Rapids. Brandon's back continues to hurt him. He's cutting way down on seeing clients and working on admin issues and doing a great job, solving problems as they come up. The DOW was up 2.2% in Feb and 3.7% for the year. We loaned $6000 Emilie and Sean to finish the work on their Bloomington house as they sold that this month through Craig. We also paid for Grandma Pearl's piano to be moved from Bloomington to Grand Rapids. The movers were to come to our place Fri, Mar 1 to move our furniture from Homemakers stored in our garage. In advance of this MS went to the cabin with Judy Covey on Wednesday Feb 28. The movers didn't end up coming til that first Sunday in March. Ugh. I'll get to that in the next monthly report.
