Notes:
Roommate owes +850 for expenses. I'm a little annoyed by numbers this month and need to look into this further - particularly the student loans. I think maybe payments until now have been paying interest that was accumulating while I was in school, and now that the 6 month grace period is up and I'm making "real" payments, I can start eating away at more of the principle. There's a little confusion because I set up auto-pay and I'm not sure if/how it's working (today was supposed to be the first auto-withdraw, so hopefully that'll be sorted out by next month.) That being said, I did just pay off $970 on my credit card. I pay it in full every month, and the money that had accumulated on it was mostly surrounding Christmas ($400 for plane tickets home, $100+ for presents, plus money for miscellaneous travel expenses). There was also $200 for concert tickets from a concert the roommate and I went to on New Years Eve. Needless to say, this was much more "discretionary" spending than I usually have in a month.
