Career: My company went through a large wave of layoffs, as did my sister's company. My father's company is going through layoffs tomorrow. Thankfully my partner's company hasn't announced any layoffs yet. I'm not owning any new project at work, mostly helping the rest of the team with small tasks. This is a bit concerning, but I'm trying to reach out to people on other teams so I can propose partnering with those teams to do work which also benefits my team.
Life: We hosted and attended many social events over the holidays and it's helped my partner's mental health immensely. He's also found a yoga buddy and is getting back in touch with meditation; I get benefits from him doing this. I'm starting to plan out what work we want done on our house, and what order it needs to be done in.
Financial: I contributed to my IRA but haven't converted it to Roth yet. I restarted contributing to my 401k with both Roth and after tax contributions.
Health & wellness: I'm working through a darebee cardio workout plan and doing either yoga or dance class on days when I do a lighter darebee workout. We started eating healthier last month and have stuck to it when eating at home, though we've had a significant number of social events last month and this month where we ate outside. Finally I ordered a skincare regimen from Sephora and want to get into the habit of putting on skincare every night as I go to bed. |
