About Me
I’m a stay at home mom now. Husband is a Manager at a law firm. I started tracking my net worth in my late 20s when I was single, broke and financially clueless.
Why I Joined
To see my financial progress over the years (& motivation). I came over from NetworthIQ.
Best Financial Decision
Paying off my student loans. Living within our means and avoiding lifestyle creep and a "payments" lifestyle.

Reading a lot of books.
Worst Financial Decision
Not asking questions. In college my badminton teacher sat us down and told us about compound interest. I was too embarrassed to ask any questions in front of everyone. I wanted to know more. He was the only person in my life who had mentioned compound interest.

Spending a few years pouring extra money into paying off a mortgage that had a 2.8% interest rate instead of investing in a bull market. Well, we moved and still have a mortgage and missed out on all that compound interest. Live and LEARN.
Current Investing Strategy
Invest 15% of our income into ROTH 401k, and another 5% of our income into college savings accounts/brokerage account. Our biggest goal for our 40s, is to be as consistent as possible, and no matter what, don't mess with that 15% floor. Throughout our thirties we were investing about 7% of our income into the ROTH 401k as we spent several years before we had kids focusing on paying down our first mortgage. In hindsight that was dumb, since our mortgage interest rate was 2.8%.
How do you manage your finances?
