Notes:
Bad month. Some planned time off, plus the unplanned snow days, and time missed for multiple rounds of interviews resulted is less money earned than usual. Working hourly is not all it is cracked up to be. That, combined with irregular insurance costs made it a bit yucky. (Life, car, and other insurance due this month.) The good news: I got a permanent job, which I start the middle of March. It pays a decent amount more, but take home will be about the same. The difference is going to 401K contributions, plus my share of benefits. And boy will be glad to have "real" health insurance. The bad news: DH ended up in the ER after badly cutting his hand, and our crappy indemnity insurance covers squat. We knew up from that we had a high ($2,500) deductible, but we just bet that we wouldn't ever use the insurance. I guess we lost that bet, but live and learn... ER bill is $2,470, but they will give us a discount of about 30% since insurance isn't covering anything.
