Notes:
All I can say is that focusing on asset accumulation and income expansion sure beats focusing on snowballing debt. Much more inspiring and exciting. Not knocking focusing on debt payoff -- I focused on that (intensely) for 4 years and it paid off big time! But that's like a sprint; now it's a marathon. Now I'm looking out long term and working on two separate income-producing opportunities outside of the 9 to 5. The rewards may not come as immediately as the debt payoff, but it will be worth it in the end. My goals are now focused around finding other income earning mechanisms to eventually replace my W2 income altogether. In the meantime I am maxing out my tax advantaged retirement accounts and building up an 8 months emergency reserve. The progress even over the past 4 months has been encouraging. Can't imagine the difference in a few years! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Home value is updated monthly from Zillow.com/Zestimate (Purchase price was $370K in August 2006). Other Mortgage = HELOC/2nd Mortgage
