| DOW up 3.8% for the year and up 1.9% for June. The big event this month was Philly's mother, Renee, who had suffered from cancer ever since her husband passed away right during Covid, passed away. We went to the funeral in Council Bluffs. Sean and Emilie were able to come also. Drop in cash this month is due to paying $17,000 for Paul's 2015 Camry LE from Marcella and another $1000 for license. We also paid $3000 for a new live-edge dining table in the dining room at home from Redekers. We also opened up the new office in Ames renting the next door spot (#105) and had start up costs with painting the rooms and reception area (Dominic, Kay's husband painted them) and new furniture for Kay and Carol and reception area. It looks really nice. Jess Ward started as a therapist in Ames and Tiffany Werderman in CR. Kay is back in the office for the first time since November. Our cash in hand as a company at month end was nearly $200K compared to nearly $100K last year. We spent a lot of time at the tiny house. We started the month camping finishing up our two weeks at Wildwood in Taylors Falls. Saw Cassi and Cam and played bluegrass with Caden. Also made a trip to Grand Rapids, MN for Kiley's graduation and camped in their back yard near the alley. Hooked up with Woody and Sue Roland in Lanesboro. I started playing in the Bluegrass band with Duane Shin and Tere Erickson. MS is working on the baby doll quilt for Madison. We bought tickets to fly to California to see Madison, Marty and Amanda and hope to see Jeff and Linda, too. |
