Notes:
Somehow I got the feeling that little summer market rally wasn't going to last long. It's just too close to the infamous September, rising interest rates and economic pullbacks notwithstanding.

I've really kept a lid on spending, largely due to saving for that home refresh at the end of the year, but also because elevated prices on everything are just making me balk about what's really necessary. I've been doing a lot of personal and business work at home, which keeps me in line and out of any financial temptations.

As real estate prices are beginning to reverse, my own values will also slow up in the hopes that the actual value and my declared value will meet in parity by the end of the year. At least that's the vision.

The remainder of my retirement contributions are usually inserted at the very end of the year, but with markets so low, I'm going to throw it in during September and count on further busts to buy some more mutual/index funds at really low prices. I'm not too concerned about trying to find the absolute bottom, as it's all for the long-term. But it's fun to try and play the odds.

Some freelance checks should be coming in next month so that should offset any market shenanigans should they occur. Until next time...
