Career: I got sick for a week and lost momentum at work. I'm slowly building it back, and am being a bit impatient with myself because I want to get things out the door in order to go for a promotion in a couple months.
Life: My partner got laid off from his company. He's looking to found a startup and is actively pursuing business ideas with potential cofounders (his other friends in the business area he's interested in). I got inspired by my sister and went for my first laser hair removal appointment! This process will take a long time but I'm excited for it.
Financial: I learned tax gains harvesting and sold some company stock to de-risk the portfolio. I'll sell more soon since I'm not paying myself any salary in the coming months. Instead I'm front-loading contributions to my 401k since I want to have the option to leave my company after the current promotions cycle without sacrificing my 401k match. I also funded my Roth IRA.
Health & wellness: I got really sick for the past week and it sucked. My husband took really good care of me, he cooked what I wanted and knows how I like things. I still don't feel 100% better so I'm taking a break from working out until I recover. |
