Notes:
Watching the Market plummet due to Coronovirus fears and it's impact on my retirement is pretty scary. None the less I'm personally feeling pretty good because back in early February I skimmed a good chunk of profits off my stock retirement accounts and put them into a conservative retirement bucket to cover my plan for retiring in five years or so. I had been hesitating because the market was doing so well, but the point of the money was to directly fund me down the road and I figured sooner or later the market would take a hit so skimming profits while the market was doing well made sense and would let me not to have to worry so much. Did I get lucky or what? So I've no definitive worries as I can let the rest ride until the market recovers and still retire as planned. On the other hand, all the money spent for my vacation may be coming back depending on the situation and timing. Then there is still the issue of items from my in-laws estate and what we are doing there. My one child is suffering financially because they work in retail and were already concerned about a potential lay off and the virus has hit the business they work at hard. So who knows what's in the works for them and their are hints of needing to move back home. Crazy how this works and more and more the advice to have a good emergency fund is proven out during actual emergencies.
